the world
and its six billion
accounted for feet stand,

press, on my can’t-be-believed muscle, swollen stiff
in the likeness of my spine

pain that snuck in

years ago
on a chair
in a restaurant
between friends

what am i carrying
like a fool
who cannot see
she has a choice?

watching the act of

must be funny

tell me how i look
hurdling in place


(though, forward momentum began today — i am officially enrolled in yoga teacher training! a three year old goal finally achieved.

also: this picture, it breaks my heart in all the best ways.)
