fly

“i see wings
IMG_6429
coming out of your back”

says the woman

planted in front of me

with hands folded behind her

like childhood innocence,

this woman, whose

eyes never met mine

before this very moment,

“she was moving her whole life to meet you”,

to tell me

i have wings.

i guess

i have

a lot to learn

about what this

wearied,

tired,

heavy body

is doing

actually

because last time i

took inventory,

i wasn’t ready to fly.
